Mr. Berggren is a Principal Consultant and Vice President working out of the Jefferson office with experience in the engineering and environmental science fields since the early 1980s. His responsibilities include planning and implementation of investigations/feasibility studies, regulatory agency negotiations, due diligence assessments and engineering design and services during construction for properties involving contamination of groundwater and other environmental media.

He has provided expert opinions on technical aspects of investigations associated with petroleum hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents released to soil and groundwater. He has also provided expert testimony regarding potential remedial costs associated with hydrocarbon release, and has been a technical expert on numerous chlorinated solvent contamination projects. Mr. Berggren has assisted with negotiations and technical expertise for Brownfield development in Oregon. One site has been considered a model example by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality for private entity cleanup and development of a contaminated industrial property.
